Luxury coach used by F1 drivers up for auction

A luxury coach used to transport Formula 1 drivers like Michael Schumacher travelling between grand prix racing fixtures is due to go under than hammer in an auction in Battersea, London on October 26th.

The exclusive coach is one of the highlights of the upcoming RM Sale scheduled for later this month and is already generating a great deal of excitement. With no reserve listed for the hot red coach, which boasts two separate living quarters onboard, there’s speculation over how much the vehicle will finally sell for, although an guide price of between £200,000 and £300,000 has been issued by the auction house.

Designed by Italian manufacturers, Pininfarina, famed for their involvement is helping to create some of the most iconic Ferrari sports cars, the high roof coach only has 53,000 miles on the clock and was used to transport the F1 team from Marancello in Italy to all major grand prix events taking place in Europe between 2001-2005.

The Iveco Domino HDH Coach really comes alive when you step onboard. With two separate living areas with their own entrances, bed rooms, livings rooms, bathrooms with boilers for instant hot water, also mini bar facilities and kitchenettes, massage tables and plasma screens, the Ferrari red coach takes opulence to the next level. The vehicle also has its own air conditioning and heating systems and a 220 volt generator so as to offer a fully equipped and comfortable home from home.

Party night out for F1 champ

Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton hung up his driving gloves for a night out on the town with his Pussycat Doll girlfriend. F1

Hamilton became the youngest man to take the top racing title this weekend and headed out to celebrate in style.

Instead of driving to clubs, the racing ace was spotted hopping from limos and private cars to a number of parties in the Brazilian capital.

Hamilton and Nicole Scherzinger apparently danced the night away until 9am after the driver swooped to victory on Sunday.

However, the sensible driver said how he paced himself and only drank two glasses of champagne over the entire evening.

“I only had a couple of glasses of champagne,” he told a press conference. “I just sat there and took it all in.

“It was a feeling you can’t put into words, to see how happy you have made everyone after all the hard work they have put in, and how satisfied they are.”
