Coach Broker winners from this year’s Transport Broker Awards are announced

The winners from this year’s Transport Broker Awards were presented with their trophies over the weekend at the glitzy awards show held at the St David’s Hotel and Spa in Cardiff Bay.

This year the awards show, which is now in its third year, took on a Las Vegas theme which saw the luxury 5 start hotel transformed for the evening with a mini casino complete with roulette and black jack tables, plus dancing show girls and top name DJs supplied by Kudos Music.

The awards were broken into two different categories for National and Regional Awards. Starting off with the regional awards for Coach Broker, the Agent of the Year for the North East and Scotland was named as Bishopbriggs, while Mearns Travel came in second place. The gong for Agent of the Year for the North West was handed to Belle View with Walkers named in second place.

The winner of Agent of the Year for the Midlands was Executive Thandi, and Plaza were runners up, while the trophy for Agent of the Year for the South West, South East and London was handed to Dhillon of London, with BM Coaches named in second place, and the last of the regional awards for Agent of the Year for Wales and the West Country was awarded to Chapmans, with Cavendish Coaches in second place.

Moving onto the National Awards, the trophy for Best Fleet out of all of the agents working with Coach Broker was presented to BM Coaches. The Best Customer Service award was handed to Dhillon of London notching up their second trophy of the night, while BM Coaches also scooped a second gong after they picked up one of the biggest awards of the night for Coach Broker Agent of the Year.

Belle Vue Coaches wins the award for Best Website for a coach hire company

At this years annual Transport Broker Awards ceremony Belle Vue Coaches won the award for Best Website after beating off competition from Thandicoaches.com and Plaza-Travel.co.uk.

With more and more people choosing to use the internet to search for coach hire, company websites are becoming more and more vital to businesses as a way of promoting services. Having an effective website can make or break a company and all 3 firms shortlisted have made considerable headway in creating a top online resource for their business.

Belle Vue Coaches were deemed the winners on this occasion with their easy to navigate yet informative website, proving a hit with the judges. With plenty of high quality images displaying Belle Vue’s excellent range of coaches and minibuses, and snappy text bullet pointing the merits of each vehicle and a list of services, the website has considerable visual impact. The photographs showed in detail the exterior and interior of all coaches and minibuses allowing customers to view exactly what they are booking in detail.

The use of audio on the website was also commended as those visiting can get a snapshot of exactly what Belle Vue is offering without even reading the first line of the homepage. The judges were impressed with the clever use of this technique by Belle Vue.

BM Coaches wins the title of Best Coach Hire Company in the South East

BM Coaches was named as the Best Coach Hire Company in the South East at the Transport Broker awards ceremony last Sunday. The title was presented to the firm which had consistently performed brilliantly over the last 12 months in the South East region.

BM Coaches was singled out from many other companies on the basis of its extensive fleet of top quality coaches, and their dedication to providing a superior standard of customer care. The other two operators nominated for the award were Glamour Travel and Bees Travel, both were very strong contenders for the trophy having put in a great deal of hard work throughout 2009.

But there could only be one winner, and this time round it was the turn of BM Coaches. The Middlesex based firm offers a professional coach hire service, providing travel to a wide range of destinations including the whole of the UK and Ireland, and as holders of International Operator Licences, BM also undertakes trips to all European destinations too. Dhillon of London wins Best Coach Hire Company in London

Dhillon of London named Best Coach Hire Company in London at Transport Broker Awards

One of the most fiercely contended coach categories of the night was won by top transport operator, Dhillon of London. With several excellent firms in the London area vying for the title of Best Coach Hire Company in London, Dhillon beat off serious contenders including Travel Partners, Buzzard Minibus Hire and White Knight Private Hire to pick up the award at last weekends Transport Broker Awards ceremony.

Founded back in the 1970’s under the name Bharat Travel Ltd, the company changed its name to Dhillon of London back in 2005 after being mistaken for other businesses using a similar name. Under the new re-branded name, Dhillon has gone from strength to strength running a top quality fleet of coaches from their base on the outskirts of London.

All of the company coaches, which range in size from 71-seater double-decker coaches to 33-seater mini coaches, are kept on site at the firm’s depot which is conveniently located just minutes from Heathrow airport. Bees Travel win the award for Best Minibus at top industry event

Bees Travel’s 16-seater Executive Mercedes won them the Best Minibus Awards at the ceremony last Sunday at the annual Transport Broker Awards. The night was held to reward and celebrate the best of the best from the world of travel with the highest achievers, such as Bees Travel, being rewarded for their great success over the past 12 months.

The company, which operates in the Milton Keynes and London area, beat off competition from BM Coaches and Wombwell Travel to pick up the gong for Best Minibus. Bees Travel pride themselves on keeping an immaculate fleet, and this was recognised by the award.

The Transport Broker Awards nominees are finally announced

The best performing coach companies in the UK have been nominated for a prestigious trophy as part of the annual Transport Broker Awards ceremony. The event is due to take place on December 13th at The Vale Hotel in North Cardiff. Now the news many a coach hire firm has been waiting for is here as the nominees have been officially announced.

This years ceremony has secured sponsorship from three big names in the transport industry including transport operator, Arriva Bus and Coach, limo distributor Krystal UK, and Limo1 a limousine manufacturer and sales company.

The nominations have been broken down into one category for regional awards, and another for nationwide awards.
